INVESTMENTS POLICY
In the investments sector TEXAPRET SA programs a total expenditure of 400 mio. GDr. to the end of the present financial year for the purchase of fabric processing mechanical equipment.
Generally, the company's investment policy in the years to come includes the further implementation of the on going program, which aims to the complete automation of all facilities and the modernization of the machinery, in order to achieve cost-reduction, as well as improvement of quality and expansion of services provided by the company, and a consequent increase of the added value provided through processing. Those investments ensure the immediate response of the company to new market trends, which necessitate high quality of service in dying, finishing etc (e.g. strict specifications of the european markets.)
Furthermore, the company plans the takeover of companies with similar activities, which will enhance the spectrum of provided services and offer useful "know how". Those takeovers will also achieve a quick penetration in new markets, and a serious increase of the company's turnover.

The following table presents the company's investments during the three years period of 1998/1999 - 2000/2001 on the basis of the net additions appearing on the fixed sums of the annexes of the financial catalogues for the financial years 1998/1999, 1999/2000 and 2000/2001

As shown on the above table, total investments for the triennium come up to 1.567 mio. GDr and concern mainly machinery and relative equipment.

Main investments of TEXAPRET included:

  • For the financial year 1998/99:
    1. Erection of two reservoirs, expansion and modernization of biological cleaning and water recycling facilities.
    2. Installation of a gas net.
    3. Purchase of an automatic feeding system for the dyeing machines.
    4. Installation of quality control facilities, and
    5. Purchase of a special finishing machine with serious cost and quality advantages in comparison to the competition.
  • Investments for the financial year 2000/01 in regard to the purchase of modern machine-equipment. The equipment consisted mostly of a dyeing machine, "THIES" type, a sample- printing device, and a dryer, made by KRANTZ.
  • TEXAPRET continued investing in modern machine-equipment in the financial year 2000/01. Those investments included among others a printing machine type LEMAIRE, ELCU automatic cutting - sewing machines, a large rotary printing machine made by STORK, a SANTEX sqeering machine and two THIES dyeing machines.

    In the last years, the company's investment policy aims to the replacement of the older technological equipment with new, modern machinery, which will contribute to the reduction of functional cost and improvement of the quality of fabric and yarn. In this context TEXAPRET plans the purchase of a steuter frame machine from Krantz with a capacity of 40m/min and a steuter machine with a velocity of 50m/min until the end of the financial year.
